Meeting Notes
May 2, 2013

Present:           Lauri Douglas, Judy Driedger, Connie McKenney, LeeAnn Creager

Absent:            Amanda Tuttle, Jason Tuttle, Megan Denhof, JoAnn Windberg, Jan Harrison

Arts Council Members Jackie Ransom and Melody Ransom were in attendance.

The meeting was called to order at approximately 7:10pm.

Informal discussion was held regarding the election of replacements on the Board for Lauri Douglas and Judy Driedger.  New officers were decided as follows:  LeeAnn Creager, President; Connie McKenney, Vice President; Jan Harrison, Treasurer; Melody Ransom, Secretary.  Additional Board Member is Jackie Ransom.  Therefore the new Board will consist of LeeAnn Creager, Connie McKenney, Jan Harrison, Melody Ransom, Amanda Tuttle, Jason Tuttle, Megan Denhof and Jackie Ransom. 

We will again be donating $100 for the clothesline arts during Summerfest.  Connie moved and LeeAnn seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

Lauri gave the Secretary billing information for liability insurance and Chamber of Commerce dues.  These will be passed on to the Treasurer. 

We will be using Veteran’s Park for the summer concerts, but in case of inclement weather the concerts will be held in the Farm Museum.  The schedule for this summer is as follows:

            Kwik Fix                                 7/11/13
            Wyatt & Shari                         7/18/13
            Delbert & Holly                      7/25/13
            Coop. Comm. Alley Cats        8/1/13

We will have help from the people involved in the Miss Coopersville Pageant again this year. 

The Talent Show held Thursday night, August 8, during Summerfest will also be held at the Farm Museum this year.  

Connie is going to work on setting up a website for the Arts Council and will also be working on using the Murder Mystery Game for the Annual Meeting in March of 2014.

Suggested date for this year's Wine and Cheese Event is September 21st -  Details to follow.

The next meeting will be held June 6th at 7pm at the Farm Museum.  All meetings will be held at the Farm Museum from now on.  There will be no meeting in July.  The August meeting will be on the 29th at 7pm. 

Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.  Moved by C. McKenney, seconded by J. Ransom.  Motion approved.
