Dearly Departed

Calling All Actors! Coopersville Community Theatre 2009

Coopersville Community Theater is presenting the play "Dearly Departed" on June 18th, 19th, and 20th, but we can't do it alone.

If you are interested in bringing this hilarious play to life, auditions are scheduled for April 26th and 27th from 7-9 p.m. in the Coopersville High School choir room. We need about 7 men and 8 women, ages 20 to mid 60's. There is a nice selection of small roles to choose from, so don't be shy. Play books will be available shortly if you want to practice.

Not an actor? There are also opportunities to work with sound, lights, set design, and advertising. Just let us know your talent, and we will put you to work.

St. Patrick's Day Extension? CAAC Annual Meeting and Celebration

Do you wish St. Patrick’s Day lasted longer than just one day? Well lads and lassies, you have the luck of the Irish! The Coopersville Area Arts Council is extending the celebration!

On March 21st from 7p.m. to 9p.m., Matt “Celtic” Kilroy will be performing at the Polkton Township Hall in conjunction with the CAAC Annual Meeting.

This festive event will include a mixture of traditional Celtic tunes along with contemporary classics, story telling, and poetry.

CAAC will also provide hors devours, coffee, and punch for guests. Free admission! (Donations will be accepted.)

Art Auction & Wine Tasting Event

The sparkle of the white lights, the vibrant flowers, and the musical entertainment set the perfect mood for enjoying beautiful art, decadent treats and wine, and fellowship. This years Silent Art Auction and Wine Tasting Event was a success despite the unbelievable amount of rain we received. The Veteran's Park Pavilion and the large white tent provided some relief from the soggy elements throughout the evening.

Thank you to all the vendors, volunteers, and board members for helping put on such a unique event. Click on the "Play" button to see a slideshow of this years event.

If you would like to reserve tickets for the Wine Tasting and Silent Art Auction ahead of time and don't feel like leaving home to do so, we have a solution!

Just print off this blog entry, fill out the necessary information, and mail it to our P.O. box (P.O Box 171, Coopersville MI 49404) with an enclosed check or money order for the amount of the tickets. (Please make checks payable to C.A.A.C.)

We will then reserve tickets for you and have them available at the door on the night of the event!

Nunsense

Thank you to all who helped with and attended the performances of Nunsense! Your support made the show a success. The live interaction kept the audience involved, entertained, and laughing hysterically! Coopersville is fortunate to have so much local talent!
